Sunnyvale Library/Tumblebooks- Site that has animated books students can veiw. The tumblebooks link is at the bottom of this page. I use this in my classroom to introduce themes and for literature-based writing prompts. It is great if you have a projector connected to your computer.
Children's Books Forever- There are books by Hans Wilhelm. These are book that work good with a projector. Books are  Tyrone (Dinosaur series), Pirates Ahoy!, Bad, Bad, Bunny Trouble, and more.

Little Animal's Tales- The Missing Pencil, The Butterfly Trail, The Wishing Tree. Books that can be read or they also have sound.

Leveled Science/Social Studies books- These are good to use with a projector. Concepts are: Sound, Trips across the country, Shadows, Heat and Eat!, Firefighters, Volcanos, In the Woods, Astronauts, High Tides, and others. Check it out!

Barnes and Noble Storytime- Students can listen to the author reading their books.

Reading Comprehension and Skills Worksheets-This page contains hundreds of quality free reading comprehension worksheets and represents the best in free online reading comprehension materials.Each worksheet contains comprehension and vocabulary questions about the attached passage. Beginning worksheets are under 500 words long. Intermediate are approximately 500 words long. Advanced are 500-1000 words long.

The Alphabet - It says the name of the letter, then sound, then writes it. Do not use the "a" it gives the wrong sound!


  Sight Word Practice This allows students to practice their sight words. (pre-primer, primer, first, second and third)

Sight word practice- This has no sound it just flashes the cards to the students so they can read them. Good for partners at the computer.

Reading Passages for 3rd grade on-line test Read the introduction and the passage that follows. Then read each question and mark the circle next to the correct answer.

  Create Your own Flip book-Students have the ability to create their own flip book with text and pictures. They can be printed in color or black and white. Great for publishing a story.

Writing sketchbook- A teacher demonstration tool which can be used to demonstrate handwriting, letter or number formation. It will take practice but what a tool!

Interactive Spelling Bee-This is like an old-fashioned Spelling Bee. For grades 1-8, you will listen to three stories, one at a time, and then spell words from each story.
